Hey Guys!

I have finally taken the time to make the responses to the great awards Emi gave to me, I have been so busy, and its been more than a month, but I just haven't had time, so.....

Over to the important stuff!

Oh and btw, Im not too good with the image uploading thing, so it may look weird but yeah..

The Aussie Award:

I would like to pass this on to two people (and yes that may be breaking some type of rule but I don't care). Those two people are.... Drumroll please....

Leyla- Her blog is basically all about warm fuzziness and cool stuff, so this award fits perfectly

Majella- My friend from australia who is new to blogging, and needs a bit of encouragement, so hopefully this will get you blogging again!

So all you have to do is pass it on to someone, then make a vlog (video blog) about a topic I get to choose, and the topic I chose is explain a cool object you own that makes you different from other people, so it could be a trophee, or just a cool shell you found on a beach. Then Very importantly you need to keep the blog awesome!

So this is what I have done! I was asked to vlog about a day in my life, so I just picked today, pretty average day, but here goes!

Knowing me I may have forgotten a few people, so I may add a few soon!

So all you need to do now is help someone turn a rainy day into a rainbow and blog about it! Then, if possible volunteer at an animal shelter or donate to a charity, or just do something you feel really good about!

I helped my friend jess turn a rainy day into a rainbow a few days ago when she made a big mistake that cost her many of her friends. That night we had a really nice conversation on facebook, and she said that she was smiling for the first time that day. A smile is an up-side-down rainbow so I guess that counts. In australia you aren't legally allowed to volunteer at animal shelters until you are something like 18 so I sponsor a family through microcredit!

Hey guys!

Those of you who are big fans of Leyla's blog, may remember when a few months back, she posted about NaNoWriMo, which is basically a crazy competition where you have to write a 50,000 word novel in a month.

The gunshot was given on the first of November, and since then, crazy writing fanatics like myself have been going mad, writing whatever comes to mind!

This post isn't really going anywhere, but all I wanted to say, is to all the people who are participating....

I disagree with myself

Hey guys!

Just a very very short post to tell you guys that I made a bit of a mistake in the post from yesterday, you know how I said:

Blacks- It's not their choice to be black

Gays- It's not exactly their choice to be gay

Well I think I'm wrong. Gays did chose to be gay, but its part of who they are, like if someone marries someone from Israel or something, and they get an Israeli passport, then they have to accept the consequences of that when they go to Palestine, but its who they chose to be, and they woulnd't change that for the world.

If I just really confused you with that example, then don't worry about it, but I thought you guys deserved to know that I don't agree with what I said.

Ok, now I can go on and stop worrying about this, and I feel like I did something good!

Haven't you ever noticed?

Hey guys! A lot of my friends have been writing posts to raise awareness about gay rights, and being a bit of a follower myself, I have decided not to be left out!

So getting to the point:

Haven't you ever noticed the similarities between the civil rights movement and the gay rights movement?

Blacks- It's not their choice to be black

Gays- Its not exactly their choice to be gay

Blacks- Had to fight for the right of marriage

Gays- Fighting for the right of marriage

Blacks- Not allowed to serve in the military

Gays- Not allowed to serve in the military

Blacks- Ridiculed in school

Gays- Ridiculed in school

I could go on for a while, but I think you get the message.

What happened to racial segregation? It fell apart thanks to public support and many protests. With your help, the same thing will happen to gay rights!

Please help!

The other day, I told you guys that I need to change my blog design (well not need, but I really really want to!) And I cant say I'm being drowned in comments...

Need to Change!

Hey guys, I was looking around your blogs the other day and I started thinking that I need to change my blog, because all of your blog names and designs really represent who you are and what your blog is about, and I feel that mine just doesn't feel right.

So yeah, to get to the point, I need suggestions for a new title or design or something that would make my blog like I am!

Then (not meaning to steal any ides from leyla....) I will ask you guys to vote for the best, and whoever wins not only gets to be my blog design for ever (well quite a while at least) but there is an award for the winner too!

The substance Award!

Hey guys, blogger have been stuffing up on my laptop for a while so I haven't been able o pst anything for lets see... over a month! But don't worry I've been following all your blogs very closely mwahahaha!! (Ok firstly, thats a lame excuse, and secondly what is with the mwahahaha?)

Anyhow... I GOT MY FIRST AWARD! YAY! It give my blog a sense of importance, sadly this one doesn't have one of those image thingymagigs that I can sick on the side of my blog and boast for ever, but anyway its pretty cool (at least I think so).

Thanks emi for passing this on to me, cos I'm not sure that my blog has a lot of substance (whatever that is).

What are you Hungry for?

Hey guys!

I've been away the past couple weekends, which means that I haven't had the time to post anything :(

But the important thing is that I'm here now!

I wanted to talk to you guys about something I'm taking part in this weekend. It the 40 hour famine. Basically you give up something that you really love (no, it doesn't have to be food). It can be shoes, computers, furniture, talking, your thumbs (this girl at my school is using tape to tie her thumbs to her hands so she can't use them). Why would you do this? Well, everyone who participates has to get some sponsors to give money to world vision, to help eradicate world hunger. I've chosen to give up food, and so far I've raised about $50, not much, but I hope to get lots more before the weekend.

I'm so worried that I'm not gonna be able to give up food for that long! At the end I'm going to celebrate with a big serving of pancaked. If you want to sponsor me, leave a comment and I'll tell so how to.

A Birthday full of J's

Hey Guys!

I just came back from my friend jess's birthday party and I had so much fun!

Because her name is jess, she thought it would be cool that everyone come dressed as something starting with J, and I came dressed as a Jamaican, I had this afro dreadlock wig with a jamaican hat and this tie-die shirt. I made a complete fool of myself but it was fun, and its given me an idea for a question to ask you guys. If you held a party about things starting with your name, what would you dress as, eat ect...

I'll tell you mine:

My name is Lara, so my party would be about the letter L

The color theme would be lavender, or lilac, and the invites would be that color.

Some examples of food are Lemon Meringue Tart, Lemonade, Lollies, Lasagna

I would dress up as Lara Croft

Maths Class

Hey guys! I'm in maths class right now, and my teacher isn't that smart and doesn't when we're on our computers, so I'm taking the time to write! As you can see I found out how to make my banner look cool, so my blog is done with its make-over (well for now at least!). I've been wanting to do so much stuff lately, (like making over my blog, writing letters to my friends, going shopping for some stuff...) but school always gets its way, and I am trying not to suffocate under a pile of projects, homework and tests. I envy you guys in Europe sleeping in, sunbathing and not a sheet of homework inside, while I solve ratio problems and study the affects of tourism in developing countries. You guys who know me will find it strange to hear me whining, cos I don't whine too often but I do think its unfair!

So basically if you've been waiting for a letter from me, don't worry, it's coming, but only as soon as I get over this tsunami of work!

Have a great summer, and rest well cos I'll be the one laughing when I'm on summer holidays at Christmas and you guys are busy studying exams under the snow.

Wow! I haven't posted for ages!

Sorry guys, I haven't written on my blog for like a month and a half, I've been wanting to for ever, but being new to blogging, I don't really know what to write about! As you can probably see, I changed my blog background and color theme, so I want to know if you like it better this way, or how it was before, of even of you have any new ideas please leave a comment. Also, people who know me, if you can give me ideas on things I could write about, I would be very grateful, because when I look around on other blogs, the people have so many cool things to write about, like sock monkeys, or their acting debut, I know that I live in Australia, which is pretty cool itself, but I feel kinda silly telling you guys about my daily life!

I'm in Brittany right now, which on the west coast of France. Friends from ISB will know, cos they went to St. Malo which is about two hours away from here. I'm going surfing today in the freezing cold waters of doom, so I'll tell you how it went when I get back.

A Sad Sad Day

I am so sad! Today I was on the tram, and I lost something....
Emi gave me this ADORABLE key-ring-thing with a green moster on it and the clip was starting to come apart, and this morning it fell off!
I was looking for it like crazy, but then my stop came and I had to get off. By now it's probably in a trash can, and it's gonna live the rest of its life left until it decomposes :(

RIP Moxi We will miss you!

Netball, Swimming & Shoes Does that sound sporty or what?

Hey! Just got back from a VERY busy day.

Wesley (my school) lost the netball game against Geelong Grammar, not to badly though, only 16-21. Their center-court player was very weird, she kept giving everyone death glares and couldn't stop swearing. After I got back, Enez, Dad and me went to the MSAC swimming pool, but the slide was closed most of the time, so it wasn't much fun. Any good out of today? Well I got new netball shoes, they're pretty cool, I'll get a pic if I can find one. I have to go now cos I have enough homework to last a lifetime. :)

1st Post! Woohoo

Hey!

Not much going on, apart from the fact that this is the first post on my new blog! Just a little something about the name, I was born in France, but i'm now living in Australia (far away) and to be precise, France is actually 15,244 kilometers away from Australia, but well it's close enough! I've been missing everyone so much! My friends, my cats (more about that later), my family... The list goes on, so I thought that this would be a good way to stay in touch, and follow in the footsteps of Emi and Leyla, Pioneers of the blogging world Haha! Miss both of you! It's only 9:00 pm, but I have a netball game (yet another marvelous Aussie invention, or wait? was it British? Whatever) in Geelong, which is an hour and a half away from my house, which means I have to wake up at like 6:00 in the morning :( So I have to go sleepy time! Haha G'day Mate to all and to all a G'day!
