Haven't you ever noticed?

Hey guys! A lot of my friends have been writing posts to raise awareness about gay rights, and being a bit of a follower myself, I have decided not to be left out!

So getting to the point:
Haven't you ever noticed the similarities between the civil rights movement and the gay rights movement?
Blacks- It's not their choice to be black
Gays- Its not exactly their choice to be gay

Blacks- Had to fight for the right of marriage
Gays- Fighting for the right of marriage

Blacks- Not allowed to serve in the military
Gays- Not allowed to serve in the military

Blacks- Ridiculed in school
Gays- Ridiculed in school

I could go on for a while, but I think you get the message.
What happened to racial segregation? It fell apart thanks to public support and many protests. With your help, the same thing will happen to gay rights!
Please help!

Oh, and on a totally different topic, the response to emi's post is still on it's way!

  1. haha lara... thanks so much for this post... and dont worry about the other one... it took me like 4 months to pass on this one award because i was... well.. there is no way in denying it.. lazy. i hope you are having fun!!! but my social life... just like went up to a record high this afternoon and then sunck back to a low -2 meters below the bottom of the sea... W-O-W that sounds actually almost as depressing as i feel... huh... maybe i should become a writer about emo stories which will be about suicidal girls who keep diaries before they hang themselves or do a TON of drugs and end up in rehab... hmmmm thats a lot to think about... jkjk... im not that emo/suicidal... my hair is not red nor purple and i dont wear all black, although i have considered becoming a monk which despite the stereotypes... arent that different... well... miss you soooo much and im sure everything will get better when you get here!!! that is ligit the only thing i am excited for in the next.. i dont know... lets say 400 years!! 2. Awwwww I wish I could be to tell you that popularity isnt what you need to worry about! As long as you have friends you can count on, and you're confident about yourself everything would be ok! And you have a lot to look forward too! REF, 9th grade ect ect.... If I were you I wouldnt become monk cos they lock u up and make you make cheese!
I'm very lazy too emi! Thanks for the comment!
